Most of my compute resources are on virtualised platforms, namely Windows Hyper-V Server.
Microsoft allows the Hyper-V Server to be downloaded and run perpetually and for free. It has a good hardware compatibility and supports various host operating systems.
It’s a brilliant platform and works really well. Don’t forget that you might need Windows Admin Center so you can manage your platform properly.
